Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Manage environmental compliance including waste management, air/water quality monitoring, and regulatory reporting
- Lead emergency response planning and preparedness drills to ensure organizational resilience
- Analyze EHS data to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with external agencies during audits and ensure timely resolution of compliance findings
- Mentor staff on safety protocols and promote proactive safety behaviors through engagement campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation required
- Expert knowledge of federal/state EHS regulations including OSHA 29 CFR, EPA RCRA, and TCEQ requirements
- Proven experience developing and implementing ISO 14001/45001 management systems
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon) and data visualization tools
- Excellent communication abilities with demonstrated success leading cross-functional safety initiatives
- OSHA 500/501 instructor certification preferred
