Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent workplace injuries and environmental releases
- Conduct regular facility audits, air quality monitoring, and hazardous waste compliance inspections
- Design and deliver employee training programs on emergency response, hazardous materials handling, and sustainability practices
- Manage environmental permit applications, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using EHS software platforms like Enablon and Intelex
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in energy, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Expert knowledge of federal/state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ)
- Advanced proficiency in incident investigation techniques and risk assessment methodologies
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing environmental management systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience using EHS data analytics tools
