Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for workplace/environmental events
- Conduct risk assessments for chemical handling, waste management, and industrial processes
- Manage regulatory reporting including Tier II, Form R, and OSHA 300 logs
- Drive sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint tracking
- Train 500+ employees on PPE, emergency response, and hazardous materials handling
- Oversee contractor safety compliance and pre-qualification processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years EHS experience in heavy industry (oil & gas/manufacturing required)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential
- Expertise in OSHA 1910/1915 standards and EPA environmental regulations
- Advanced data analysis skills using EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Proven track record of reducing TRIR rates by 30%+
- Strong experience with industrial hygiene monitoring (noise, air, chemical exposure)
