Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct regular facility inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ) and industry standards
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives
- Manage hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and pollution prevention
- Analyze EHS data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Mentor staff on safety protocols and promote continuous improvement culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years EHS management experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- OSHA 501 & 40-hour HAZWOPER certifications required
- Proven expertise with regulatory frameworks (EPA, OSHA, ISO 14001)
- Advanced knowledge of industrial hygiene and risk assessment methodologies
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM certification preferred
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Exceptional leadership abilities and cross-functional communication skills
