- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with underwriters and actuaries to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data models adhere to UK regulatory standards (FCA) and data privacy laws.
- Optimization: Continuously refine existing algorithms to improve model performance and reduce false positives.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science, preferably within the insurance or fintech sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI).
- Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly desirable.
- Actuarial Knowledge: Strong understanding of actuarial principles and risk modeling concepts.
