Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for federal systems
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for cyber attacks
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and threat intelligence feeds
- Create comprehensive cybersecurity training programs for government agencies
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal security frameworks
- Coordinate with CISA and other federal partners on threat mitigation
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches
- Advise senior leadership on emerging cyber risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Expertise in network security, threat intelligence, and SIEM tools
- Experience with federal security compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Excellent communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
