Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients with complex conditions including post-op recovery, sepsis, and multi-organ failure
- Administer precise medication protocols and titrate vasoactive drips
- Perform advanced assessments including arterial lines, central lines, and ventilator management
- Document electronic health records with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate in rapid response team activations and emergency interventions
- Educate patients and families on critical care procedures and recovery plans
- Maintain sterile techniques during invasive procedures
Qualifications
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- Current Illinois RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience with Epic EMR and ICU monitoring systems
- Strong critical thinking skills during high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication abilities for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
