Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients requiring ventilator support and hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations including cardiac arrests and trauma cases
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records while adhering to JCAHO standards
- Educate patients and families on complex medical conditions and recovery processes
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications
- Expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient and family communication
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
