Responsibilities
- Analyze complex clinical workflows and recommend technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the implementation, configuration, and optimization of EHR modules (specifically Epic or Cerner).
- Train medical staff on new clinical software systems, documentation practices, and best practices.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with IT support to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, data privacy standards, and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate clinical data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and report on system usage metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), Health Information Management, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting combined with healthcare IT experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
- Experience with Epic or Cerner EHR systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA and JCAHO standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
