Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms using vast clinical, genomic, and operational healthcare data.
- Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and domain experts to define analytical problems and translate business needs into data science solutions.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes to prepare complex, disparate healthcare datasets for analysis.
- Perform statistical analysis and A/B testing to evaluate the effectiveness of new clinical interventions and operational strategies.
- Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders through presentations and visualizations.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of data science initiatives, identifying new opportunities for leveraging data to improve patient care and reduce costs.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and healthcare technology to continuously enhance our analytical capabilities.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on clinical or healthcare data.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and R.
- Expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from large databases (e.g., EHR systems).
- Demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, deep learning) and their application in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and causal inference.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
