Responsibilities
- Design and execute cardiovascular research studies using advanced molecular and cellular techniques
- Analyze complex genomic data to identify novel biomarkers for cardiac disease
- Lead interdisciplinary teams including biostatisticians and clinical specialists
- Prepare high-impact publications for peer-reviewed journals
- Secure external funding through NIH and foundation grants
- Mentor postdoctoral fellows and junior research staff
- Present findings at national and international conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Cardiovascular Science, Molecular Biology, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cardiac research methodologies
- Proficiency in CRISPR, RNA-seq, and single-cell analysis techniques
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications
- Familiarity with IRB protocols and human subjects research
- Strong statistical analysis skills using R or Python
- Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) preferred
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
