Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and post-operative cardiac patients
- Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic data, and ECG findings
- Administer advanced cardiac medications and emergency interventions per protocol
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management, procedures, and lifestyle modifications
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects
- Maintain precise documentation in electronic health records with regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred
- Current Massachusetts RN license with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 3 years progressive experience in acute cardiovascular nursing
- Expertise in cardiac monitoring, invasive procedures, and emergency response
- Strong knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology and pharmacology
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stakes patient and family interactions
- Experience with Epic EMR system and cardiac diagnostic equipment
