Responsibilities
- Direct complex tax planning, research, and compliance for corporate and individual clients.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax associates to ensure technical accuracy and professional growth.
- Identify and implement tax-saving strategies to optimize client portfolios.
- Manage tax examinations and represent clients before the IRS and state authorities.
- Provide expert guidance on multi-state and international tax implications.
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional legal and financial teams to ensure holistic wealth management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation (MST) preferred.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in public accounting or private tax management.
- Deep understanding of IRC, GAAP, and state tax regulations.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet tight regulatory deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of team development.
- Proficiency in tax research software (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint) and ERP systems.
