Responsibilities
- Develop and execute complex tax planning strategies to optimize global tax positions.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax associates, ensuring technical accuracy and professional growth.
- Oversee multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, including corporate, partnership, and international filings.
- Represent clients during tax audits and provide sophisticated defense strategies.
- Stay ahead of legislative changes and provide proactive advisory services on tax impacts.
- Collaborate with international partners to manage cross-border tax compliance and planning.
- Review financial statements and tax provisions to ensure adherence to ASC 740 standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments.
- Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and international tax laws.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tax research platforms (e.g., Bloomberg BNA, Checkpoint).
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Superior communication skills, capable of simplifying complex tax concepts for executive stakeholders.
