Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local corporate tax returns.
- Manage the end-to-end tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740.
- Develop and implement innovative tax planning strategies to optimize global effective tax rates.
- Supervise, mentor, and foster the growth of junior tax associates and staff accountants.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities during audits and inquiries.
- Advise internal stakeholders on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and new business initiatives.
- Maintain deep expertise in changing tax laws and ensure organizational compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Taxation (MST) preferred.
- CPA certification is required.
- 7+ years of experience in corporate tax, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
- Proven expertise in ASC 740 and international tax reporting requirements.
- Exceptional proficiency in tax software such as OneSource or Corptax.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication abilities.
