Responsibilities
- Oversee complex tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities.
- Provide expert-level advisory services on federal, state, and international tax matters.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax associates, reviewing work products for accuracy and technical depth.
- Manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for tax-related strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Represent clients effectively during federal and state tax examinations.
- Stay abreast of evolving tax legislation and provide actionable insights to the firm and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Taxation (MST) highly preferred.
- Current CPA license is required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in public accounting or private tax management.
- In-depth knowledge of complex tax code provisions and financial reporting standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for clients.
- Proficiency in tax research tools and professional tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem).
