Responsibilities
- Manage complex federal, state, and international tax compliance and reporting projects for multi-entity corporate clients.
- Lead tax planning and advisory initiatives, including M&A, restructuring, and ASC 740 provisions.
- Represent clients during tax audits and provide strategic dispute resolution guidance.
- Oversee the preparation and review of intricate tax filings, ensuring 100% accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior tax associates and managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and implement proactive tax strategies aligned with client business objectives.
- Stay abreast of evolving tax legislation to provide timely, actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation (MST) strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or large corporate tax department.
- Deep technical expertise in federal corporate taxation and multi-state tax issues.
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes client relationships and lead cross-functional project teams.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in tax software such as OneSource, Corptax, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
