Responsibilities
- Manage federal, state, and international tax compliance for corporate clients
- Develop and implement tax-saving strategies through mergers & acquisitions
- Lead IRS audits and state tax controversy resolutions
- Oversee tax provision calculations under ASC 740
- Train and supervise 3-5 tax professionals
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, CCH) for efficient workflow
- Advise clients on tax implications of digital asset transactions
Qualifications
- CPA license required (actively licensed in Illinois preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and SALT regulations
- Proven experience leading tax audits and controversies
- Advanced proficiency in tax software and data analytics
- Strong communication skills for client presentations
- Experience managing cross-functional teams
