Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax filings.
- Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies to minimize global tax exposure.
- Serve as the primary liaison for federal, state, and local tax audits.
- Manage technical research on emerging tax legislation and provide guidance to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior staff and manage the overall workflow of the tax department.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provision processes (ASC 740).
- Collaborate with cross-functional finance teams to streamline tax reporting procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation (MST) highly preferred.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in corporate tax within a public accounting firm or large corporate tax department.
- Expert-level knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem) and ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
