Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and filing of complex corporate tax returns for UK and international entities.
- Conduct comprehensive tax planning and advisory services to minimize liability and maximize growth.
- Ensure strict adherence to HMRC regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all tax-related inquiries.
- Prepare detailed technical memos and presentations for senior management and clients.
- Oversee the VAT/GST compliance process, including monthly and quarterly returns.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) or significant relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate taxation.
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation, including Corporation Tax, PAYE, and National Insurance.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions and tax software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or proprietary tax tools).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines during peak tax seasons.
