Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex UK corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring 100% compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Provide expert tax planning and advisory services to clients to minimize liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Conduct detailed tax audits and assist clients during HMRC investigations.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members, conducting performance reviews and training sessions.
- Stay abreast of changing tax laws and industry trends to provide proactive advice to the team.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax computations.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in UK Taxation.
- Deep understanding of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax.
- Experience with VAT compliance and corporate restructuring is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts to non-experts.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel and tax preparation software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or specialized tax platforms).
