Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex individual and corporate tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1065) for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to optimize tax positions for clients.
- Manage the full tax lifecycle, including planning, preparation, and filing for federal and state jurisdictions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax strategies and resolve complex inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes related to tax provisions.
- Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or EA certification strongly preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- Deep understanding of US tax code, GAAP, and tax compliance standards.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
