Responsibilities
- Prepare and file timely corporate tax returns and VAT returns in strict compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Conduct proactive tax planning and advisory services to maximize tax efficiency for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Review complex financial data and ensure absolute accuracy in all tax-related documentation.
- Manage relationships with external advisors and HMRC representatives effectively.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed tax schedules and working papers for internal and external audits.
- Stay abreast of changes in UK tax legislation and implement necessary process improvements.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate tax and accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax laws, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and VAT.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
