We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Tax Accountant to join a dynamic team in the heart of the City of London. Responsibilities
- Prepare and file UK corporate tax returns (CT600) and other direct tax filings ensuring 100% compliance.
- Manage the VAT registration, re-registration, and annual VAT returns for a portfolio of medium-to-large clients.
- Conduct tax planning and advisory services to minimize tax liabilities within legal frameworks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for HMRC queries and audits.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, conducting performance reviews and training.
- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or CIPFA qualified (or finalist) with significant relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in UK corporate and indirect tax.
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation, including Finance Acts and HMRC guidelines.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and tax compliance software (e.g., CCH, TaxCalc, or Xero).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
