Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to support client tax planning and compliance efforts.
- Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities and represent clients during audits.
- Provide proactive tax planning advice and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary financial information and ensure accurate reporting.
- Mentor and review the work of junior tax staff, fostering their professional development.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting pronouncements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA license highly preferred.
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably within a public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations (e.g., IRS, state DORs).
- Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, GoSystem, ProSystem fx Tax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
