Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of enterprise-grade, secure cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with interagency stakeholders to align technical solutions with federal compliance and security standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps for legacy system modernization and technical debt reduction.
- Provide expert-level guidance on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
- Conduct deep-dive technical evaluations of emerging technologies to assess viability for public sector deployment.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure third-party solutions integrate seamlessly within the existing ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in systems architecture or senior engineering roles.
- Proven track record of deploying large-scale cloud solutions in an AWS, Azure, or hybrid environment.
- Deep understanding of federal cybersecurity requirements and data protection mandates.
- Strong background in network security, identity management, and zero-trust architecture principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Eligibility for a high-level government security clearance (must be a U.S. citizen).
