Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases of subsea pipelines, risers, and steel catenary risers (SCRs).
- Perform advanced mechanical and structural design analysis, including lateral buckling, pipeline walking, and seismic assessment using FEA tools.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate subsea pipeline designs with offshore platforms and subsea production systems (SPS).
- Oversee the preparation of technical specifications, data sheets, and procurement packages for linepipe, coating, and subsea structures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 1111, and DNV-ST-F101.
- Provide on-site engineering support during offshore installation, pipelay, and commissioning phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or Ocean Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, specifically focused on subsea pipeline design.
- Proficiency with pipeline design software and FEA packages such as Orcaflex, ANSYS, or Abaqus.
- Deep understanding of global industry codes including DNV-ST-F101, API 1111, ASME B31.8, and ISO standards.
- Proven track record of delivering deepwater pipeline projects from concept to execution.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and offshore contractors.
