What you'll achieve:
- Architect cloud-native microservices on AWS/GCP
- Lead end-to-end development of high-throughput payment APIs
- Mentor junior engineers through our agile development lifecycle
- Drive DevOps excellence with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Optimize system performance for 99.99% uptime SLAs
Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs serving 10M+ daily transactions
- Lead code reviews and technical debt reduction initiatives
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specs
- Champion TDD/BDD practices and maintain 95%+ test coverage
- Contribute to open-source projects and publish technical thought leadership
- Own production incident response and system reliability
- Mentor 2-3 engineers through 1:1s and pair programming
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Go/Python
- Expertise in distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Proficiency in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform)
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proven track record of shipping production systems at scale
