Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments
- Lead incident response and threat hunting initiatives to proactively identify and neutralize risks
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python and modern DevSecOps practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay ahead of emerging threats by researching and implementing advanced security controls
- Mentor junior security professionals and contribute to security awareness programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with 3+ years in engineering roles
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network security principles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, OSCP, CCSP, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and security automation
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies
- Strong communication skills with ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders
