Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures across cloud, network, and application layers
- Lead incident response investigations and forensic analysis of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python and Ansible
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into DevOps pipelines
- Stay ahead of emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence analysis
- Mentor junior security professionals and drive security awareness initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or cybersecurity roles
- CISSP, CEH, or OSCP certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption standards, and threat models
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, or similar
- Experience with SIEM implementation and security automation frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly
