Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level security architectures including SIEM, EDR, and cloud-native security controls
- Lead incident response operations for high-severity breaches and develop forensic analysis protocols
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across hybrid cloud environments
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation and compliance frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct security awareness training across departments
- Research emerging threats and propose innovative mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in security architecture or engineering leadership
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security, network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection platforms
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required; GIAC certifications preferred
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tool development
- Proven experience with threat hunting frameworks and MITRE ATT&CK methodology
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
