We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our world-class engineering team in Houston, TX. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development of advanced reservoir models, optimize production strategies, and ensure the efficient extraction of hydrocarbons.
You will collaborate closely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to maximize asset performance while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated reservoir simulation models to predict field behavior and optimize recovery factors.
- Analyze production data and well tests to identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and secondary recovery.
- Lead reservoir characterization efforts, integrating geological data to create accurate 3D static and dynamic models.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Prepare detailed reservoir management plans and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments on reservoir performance and develop contingency plans for operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, specifically in unconventional or conventional reservoirs.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Petrel, CMG, Eclipse, or Nexus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological and engineering data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of reservoir management principles, economic evaluation, and project management methodologies.
