Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and testing of novel material systems for industrial applications
- Develop and optimize experimental methodologies using advanced characterization techniques
- Collaborate with product teams to translate research findings into scalable manufacturing processes
- Secure and manage intellectual property through patents and technical documentation
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings at industry conferences
- Stay current with emerging technologies through continuous learning and industry engagement
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of developing proprietary materials or manufacturing processes
- Expertise in analytical instrumentation (SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR)
- Strong statistical analysis and experimental design skills
- Experience leading technical projects from concept to commercialization
- Excellent written communication with published research papers or patents
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS) and programming (Python, MATLAB)
