Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects from ideation to prototype validation
- Design and execute experimental protocols for material science and product optimization
- Collaborate with data scientists to implement AI-driven testing methodologies
- Document technical specifications and prepare patent documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation through hackathons and R&D sprints
- Stay current with emerging technologies through industry conferences and academic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on R&D experience with consumer electronics or advanced materials
- Expertise in CAD/CAM software, 3D printing, and prototyping systems
- Strong statistical analysis skills with experience in Design of Experiments (DoE)
- Proven track record of translating research into commercialized products
- Published patents or peer-reviewed research preferred
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or R for data modeling
