Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and record patient vital signs and medical conditions in a high-acuity environment.
- Administer specialized medications and manage intravenous drips with precision.
- Operate and interpret data from ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other critical care equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical situations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) for all assigned patients.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity clinical setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (CCRN preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to remain calm under high-pressure scenarios.
- Proficiency in modern Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient advocacy.
