Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct patient care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer complex medications, monitor hemodynamic status, and manage life-support equipment with precision.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR) to ensure optimal patient outcomes and compliance.
- Advocate for patients and their families, providing emotional support and clear communication during critical health events.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code situations, maintaining composure and clinical judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in modern healthcare informatics and patient monitoring software.
