Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients using advanced monitoring equipment.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute complex care plans.
- Administer specialized cardiac medications and manage life-support interventions, including ventilators and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
- Monitor and interpret real-time telemetry and hemodynamic data to detect clinical changes early.
- Educate patients and their families on post-procedural care, recovery expectations, and heart-healthy lifestyle changes.
- Maintain precise, real-time documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Act as a clinical mentor and resource for junior nursing staff and nursing students.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a high-acuity CICU or CVICU setting.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and make autonomous clinical decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
