Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and optimize experimental protocols for novel material synthesis
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams
- Conduct advanced material characterization using SEM, TEM, and spectroscopy techniques
- Develop intellectual property strategies and draft patent applications
- Mentor junior scientists and foster a culture of scientific excellence
- Collaborate with external partners and academic institutions for cutting-edge research
- Translate lab findings into scalable manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of industrial R&D experience in advanced materials
- Expertise in polymer chemistry, nanotechnology, or biomaterials
- Strong statistical analysis and experimental design skills
- Proven track record of patent generation or publications
- Proficiency with CAD, Python for data analysis, and lab automation tools
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated environments
