Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade architectures for cloud-based government platforms ensuring compliance with Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidelines
- Lead digital transformation initiatives for federal departments, prioritizing scalability, security, and user experience
- Develop technical roadmaps aligned with whole-of-government digital strategy and policy objectives
- Conduct vendor evaluations and technology assessments for emerging solutions
- Mentor junior architects and foster collaborative innovation across public sector agencies
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) and data sovereignty requirements
- Present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders including senior executives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise architecture with 5+ years in public sector or regulated industries
- Certified AWS/GCP/Azure Solutions Architect and TOGAF certification
- Expertise in cloud migration strategies, microservices, and DevOps practices
- Proven experience with Australian government security frameworks (ISM, PSPF)
- Strong background in agile methodologies and digital service delivery
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Relevant tertiary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Clear National Police Check and ability to obtain Baseline security clearance
