Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with client business objectives
- Lead media relations efforts, securing placements in top-tier outlets (TechCrunch, Forbes, Bloomberg)
- Manage crisis communications protocols and provide 24/7 support during critical incidents
- Oversee content creation including press releases, pitch decks, and thought leadership articles
- Analyze campaign performance using Cision and Meltwater to optimize outreach strategies
- Mentor junior PR specialists and coordinate cross-functional teams (Marketing, Legal, Social)
- Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive PR experience with 3+ years in management roles
- Proven track record of securing media placements in national/international outlets
- Expertise in crisis communications and reputation management
- Strong proficiency in PR analytics tools (Cision, Meltwater, Brandwatch)
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Experience with SaaS or sustainability clients highly preferred
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills with portfolio samples
- PRSA accreditation or equivalent certification
