Responsibilities
- Strategic Communications: Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with business objectives and enhance brand reputation.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across key industry verticals.
- Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of contact during PR crises, providing timely and strategic guidance to mitigate reputational risk.
- Content Creation: Draft and distribute press releases, op-eds, and thought leadership articles that position our clients as industry leaders.
- Event Management: Plan and execute high-profile industry events, press conferences, and webinars to maximize media coverage.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor media mentions, track KPIs, and generate detailed reports to demonstrate ROI and campaign effectiveness.
- SEO Integration: Collaborate with SEO teams to ensure PR efforts drive organic traffic and enhance search engine visibility.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, preferably within an agency or corporate environment.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a proven track record of producing award-winning content.
- Network: Extensive network of media contacts and a deep understanding of the New York media landscape.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Tools: Proficiency in PR software (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack) and analytics tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- SEO Knowledge: Understanding of how PR impacts organic search and brand sentiment.
