Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute high-impact PR strategies and campaigns that align with client objectives and market trends.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers across print, digital, and broadcast media.
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and distribute press releases, opinion pieces, and thought leadership articles that resonate with target audiences.
- Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage crisis communications effectively to protect brand reputation.
- Event Management: Plan and execute press conferences, product launches, and industry roundtables.
- Analytics: Monitor campaign performance, track media coverage, and provide detailed reporting on ROI and KPIs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, preferably within an agency or in-house environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a keen understanding of tone and style for different media channels.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of current PR trends, digital landscapes, and the New York media market.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Certifications: PRSA membership or relevant certifications are a plus.
