Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated PR strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Manage media relationships with top-tier journalists, influencers, and industry publications
- Lead crisis communication protocols and reputation management initiatives
- Write and distribute compelling press releases, pitch letters, and thought leadership content
- Coordinate high-profile events, press conferences, and media outreach campaigns
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and optimize strategies based on data insights
- Mentor PR team members and foster collaborative cross-departmental partnerships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive PR experience with at least 3 years in senior management
- Proven track record of securing media placements in major outlets (NYT, WSJ, Forbes, etc.)
- Expert crisis management experience with documented success in high-stakes scenarios
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with portfolio of published work
- Strong network of media contacts in NYC and national business/tech sectors
- Proficiency in PR tools (Cision, Meltwater) and analytics platforms
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in fast-paced environment
