- Lead media relations efforts, acting as the primary point of contact for journalists and influencers.
- Craft compelling press releases, pitch decks, op-eds, and executive briefing documents.
- Manage rapid-response communication and reputation management during critical events.
- Mentor junior staff and oversee the quality of agency deliverables.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage to optimize future campaign performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 6+ years of agency-side or in-house PR experience, preferably in the NYC market.
- Demonstrable track record of securing placements in outlets like WSJ, TechCrunch, and Forbes.
- Exceptional editorial judgment and superior writing skills with an eye for detail.
- Deep understanding of the evolving digital media landscape and social media integration.
- Strong existing network of media contacts within the business and technology sectors.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple high-stakes client accounts.
