Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive infrastructure planning projects including transportation, water systems, and public spaces
- Analyze urban development trends and policy impacts using GIS and data modeling tools
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives with federal, state, and municipal agencies
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations aligned with sustainability goals
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes for diverse community groups
- Prepare detailed project reports and funding proposals for legislative review
- Monitor compliance with federal infrastructure funding regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal infrastructure or public sector planning
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and urban modeling tools
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale capital improvement projects
- Knowledge of federal infrastructure funding programs (e.g., INFRA, BUILD)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities
- Experience with public policy analysis and stakeholder negotiation
- Valid Illinois driver's license
