Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of large-scale architectural projects from schematic design to construction documentation.
- Manage project teams, coordinating with consultants, engineers, and clients to ensure design integrity and budget compliance.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Conduct site visits and manage construction administration tasks to ensure quality control.
- Mentor junior architectural staff and foster a culture of technical excellence and design innovation.
- Ensure all designs comply with NYC building codes, zoning ordinances, and ADA requirements.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and clients with professional clarity and persuasion.
Qualifications
- Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a fast-paced architectural firm.
- Current New York State Architectural License (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building systems, structural coordination, and sustainable design principles (LEED accreditation is a plus).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing consultant teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex project timelines simultaneously.
