The Role
As Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of procurement professionals, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of complex sourcing projects. You will act as a strategic partner to cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring our procurement processes align with broader business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to optimize supplier performance and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and ensure supply chain continuity.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead high-level contract negotiations and manage vendor agreements, ensuring legal compliance and favorable terms.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and competitive intelligence.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of procurement specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Streamline procurement processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; CIPS qualification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.
- ERP Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to executive stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot supply chain disruptions effectively.
