Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex experimental studies for small molecule drug discovery.
- Lead cross-functional research teams in the optimization of lead compounds.
- Analyze multi-dimensional biological data sets to drive project decision-making.
- Ensure strict adherence to GLP, GMP, and internal safety protocols.
- Author high-quality technical reports and internal dossiers for regulatory submission.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemists to iterate on synthetic pathways.
- Present research findings at both internal executive reviews and external industry conferences.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- 5+ years of post-doctoral experience within a biopharmaceutical or clinical research setting.
- Deep technical expertise in assay development and molecular pharmacology.
- Proven track record of success in moving compounds from lead optimization into preclinical development.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Spotfire, or R).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior researchers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental alignment.
