Responsibilities
- Lead discovery-phase research for novel therapeutic compounds using advanced molecular biology and high-throughput screening technologies
- Design and execute preclinical studies to assess drug efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology profiles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medicinal chemists and clinical operations to ensure seamless compound progression
- Author regulatory submissions (IND/CTA) and scientific publications aligned with FDA/EMA guidelines
- Mentor junior scientists and optimize laboratory protocols to enhance research productivity
- Stay current with emerging pharmaceutical technologies and industry trends through continuous learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related life sciences with 5+ years of industry experience
- Proven track record in drug discovery from target identification to lead optimization
- Expertise in cell-based assays, in vivo models, and analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS)
- Strong understanding of GMP/GLP regulations and FDA/EMA submission processes
- Demonstrated success publishing peer-reviewed research or presenting at international conferences
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (R, Python) and electronic lab systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex science
