Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end small molecule discovery projects from target validation to lead optimization.
- Design and execute complex experimental protocols for assay development and high-throughput screening.
- Analyze large datasets to identify structure-activity relationships (SAR) and inform medicinal chemistry strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with bioinformatics, pharmacology, and clinical development teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior research staff to foster a culture of scientific excellence.
- Document research findings in accordance with strict regulatory and company compliance standards.
- Present research progress and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology research environment.
- Proven expertise in drug discovery workflows and modern analytical instrumentation.
- Strong publication record or history of successful IND submissions.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data visualization and statistical analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, R, or Python).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, milestone-driven R&D culture.
